Thanksgiving

With my due date being right around Thanksgiving, we couldn't really make big plans this year for the holidays.  So our friends the Heinholds were nice enough to tentatively plan on us.  I am so glad I got to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner!  We went over to their house around 1 pm.  I brought over our favorite grape salad, green bean casserole, carrot souffle, pecan bars, and drinks.  We enjoyed a wonderful dinner where I ate way too much and we played games literally all afternoon and night long.  We finished off the evening by watching the movie Clue, after I won playing the actual game :)

I thought I'd be up for black Friday shopping, but I was sooo uncomfortable near the end with Reid and I was so worried I'd go into labor and be exhausted from not going to sleep earlier.  So I skipped out this year.  I went to bed early only to wake up a few hours later throwing up.  Apparently all the rich food did not sit well in my tummy!

I took one picture, I don't know why I struggle so bad when I'm at the Heinholds, we're just always having too much fun!  So grateful for our Georgia family!

Hayden sure does love their dog George.  She also loves their family and probably considers herself an honorary member.

Last pregnancy picture

Here I am at 38 weeks and the last picture I took before going into labor.  I was so much more uncomfortable this time around and I figured out why at my last appointment!  Stay tuned...

The Bradley Method

For many reasons, Paul and I decided we wanted a much different birth experience this time around.  The epidural caused lots of problems for Hayden and I and I knew after doing some research that I had to try it natural this time.  So to prepare myself (because I feel confident to do anything if I know I'm prepared) we took a 12 week course and learned the Bradley Method.  So every Saturday night from 7-10 we went to class and even brought Hayden!  There was a playroom in the office we met in and she was so good to entertain herself during our entire class.

Our teacher was Shelia and we only had one other couple in our class: Shaina & Ben.  Paul really enjoyed the classes and felt much more apart of the whole pregnancy this time around.  In the Bradley method your husband is your coach and acts as the midwife.

We learned so much in this class and could not have had the birth experience we wanted had we not gained the knowledge and learned the skills.

Shaina and I actually delivered on the same date!
