Stephanie Heinhold

One of my most dear friends here in Georgia recently celebrated her birthday back in February.  She was on a Disney Cruise at the time so I gave her a gift before hand to celebrate her special day.  Then about two weeks after she had been home I was up nursing Reid in the middle of the night and it hit me that she turned 40!!!  I immediately felt sick to my stomach that I had not done more for such an important birthday.

Stephanie is one of those people that is constantly giving of her time and anything else she has to give away to others.  She would drop any plans she has to help someone in need.  I have been the recipient of her thoughtfulness on many occasions and I don't know what I would do without her friendship.

So two months late we put together a well deserved surprise party.  We went to Taqueria Tsunami and had a great time. She definitely doesn't like to be the center of attention, but she looked like she enjoyed herself so I hope she feels appropriately celebrated for her 40th birthday!

Toe Grabber

Reid officially started playing with his feet on April 24, 2014.  I was visiting teaching and looked down and there he was grabbing his toes.  This is such a cute stage to me and I love how much he likes to play now. He also discovered how awesome his hands are this past month.

Easter 2014

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the holidays are just so much fun with kids!  Hayden is quite the dramatic little girl which is definitely hard at times, but always very fun because she gets sooo excited about things and really shows her emotions.

On Thursday Reid and I got to go to her preschool and watch her eat lunch and make a craft.  Hayden loves showing all her classmates her brother.

Hayden's Easter Basket that she used for her Easter Egg Hunt

Waiting for her teachers instructions

How cute is this mom who came up with this?

Hayden's craft, can you tell how annoyed she was at me for making her take a picture :)

We died eggs Friday afternoon because Paul had the day off and it rained all day so there was noting else to really do!

Reid was so funny, he did not want to sit on my lap, he kept arching his back, but wanted to see what was going on, so we laid him down on the table and he was one happy camper!

Here is Hayden showing off all the fun stuff both Grandma's sent her.  Grandma Anne and Grandma Kathy sure were nice to send packages for Easter!

The highlight of Hayden's Easter was probably getting her Anna Barbie doll.  I want all to know that I only paid $12 for this Barbie at Target, I'm not one of the crazies who paid an arm and a leg!  I also caved after vowing to never buy Hayden character shirts and got her a Frozen t shirt.  She was in heaven!

All ready for church, I love this picture!  It's what I always hoped for, that Hayden would love her little brother!

That night we had dinner with the Heinholds and had a great time like normal!

Happy Easter!

Easter at the YMCA

There are a lot of things I love about the YMCA and this is one of them!  They do a big Easter celebration each year so this year we invited Hayden's friend Savannah to come with us.  The activities included: 3 crafts, Easter tattoo station, Easter Egg hunt, bounce house, breakfast, scavenger hunt, obstacle course, and dancing.  Oh and they could meet the Easter bunny which neither girl wanted to do!  It was a fun morning.

4 Months Old

Reid turned 4 months old on April 5, 2014.  Shortly after we had his check-up so here are his stats:

Weight: 16 lbs 7 oz (90%)
Height: 26 3/4 inches (95%)
Head:  44 1/2 cm (95%)

So clearly he is continuing to grow!  He wears all 6 months clothing and I'm stressing out because I'm worried all the summer 6 month clothes we bought won't fit by the time it finally warms up here!

Reid also rolled over on his 4 month birthday which was exciting for all of us to watch.  Paul, Hayden and I were all right there so it was really exciting to get to share in seeing that developmental milestone together.  He is great at rolling from his tummy to his back, but he never tries to go from his back to his tummy.  He'll get up on his side, but never roll over, most likely because he does not like being on his tummy!

Reid sleeps about 11 hours at night time and just the past few days dropped his late night nap.  So now he takes 3 naps a day and they range from 1 hour to 2 1/2 hours usually.

Reid is holding on to lots of toys these days but still loves chewing his fist better than anything else.

He is still working on that first tooth so he is a little grumpier from time to time but still such a good baby.

He continues to be such a happy boy and brings me a lot of joy each day.  I love when we can get him to laugh really hard, so darn cute!

I just love this little outfit so I tried to take some more pictures of him in it but he wasn't having it!

Paul's Birthday

We are getting so old!  Paul turned 32 years old on April 4th.  We got to work from home on his birthday so I decided to go get Stilesboro Biscuits for breakfast.  We have driven past this place hundreds of times and we have always wanted to go.  It was delicious and a perfect birthday breakfast.

Here we are bugging Paul while he is trying to work!

Then we opened up his presents after breakfast, so fun not having to wait all day long!  Paul's wanted these Wolverine 1,000 mile boots for a LONG time!

After Paul got done working we went out to dinner at another new place.  We went to the Cuban Diner.  Paul loves Cuban food and he was very impressed with the beans.  I loved the Yucca fries! Reid joined us and while he should have been sleeping he was wide awake looking around his new surroundings!

We went and picked Hayden up and then came home to sing happy birthday and enjoy a yummy cupcake!

Happy 32nd Birthday Paul, hope you had a wonderful day and we were able to show you how much we love you!

Lasura's

Our neighbors from Cheyenne are now stationed in Alabama so we've gotten to see them a few times which has been way fun.  Last summer we drove out to Alabama and went to the beach with them and this time they came out to Atlanta for spring break.  They came to our house Friday afternoon and got to spend the rest of the evening with us!  We did Cafe Rio night and had lots of fun catching up.  They also got to meet Reid for the first time.

Joe and Joan are so fun to talk to and their kids are so cute!  River loves to rub Paul's hairy arms, Cora and Hayden played so well together and I thought it was so cute that Ezra asked to hold Reid.

They are an awesome family and we definitely need to get together with them more often while we are only 4 hours away!  Hopefully next time they come they will stay with us :)
