Buddies

Hayden and Reid have become such good little buddies the past 6 months.  Reid sneaks out of his bed often and I always know where to find him...in Hayden's bed.  We let them have sleepovers in Hayden's room every weekend and they got so excited to be together.  I've also been letting Reid skip a few naps a week because he is starting to grow out of them (sigh) so we usually let him skip on Wednesday afternoons when Hayden is home from school and a weekend day.  He loves getting to hang out with his big sister in the basement.  Grateful these two have more good days together than bad.

What Reid's face looks like when Hayden leaves for school in the morning :(

Vala's Pumpkin Patch

We got another season pass to Vala's and had lots of fun all fall going each week.  We also rented a camp fire and had a night of hot dogs and s'mores with friends.  Reid's favorite attraction was the duck races and the tractor pull.  Beckett also loved the tractor ride and hated the slides.  Hayden enjoyed the obstacle course, pig races and jumping pillows.  Always a fun way to spend time with my family!

Tractor Pull

Beckett liked standing by the side and holding on tight

Beckett got hit in the face with corn the first time he got in and did NOT appreciate the corn pit after that!

Playing with the tractors, both my boys could have lived here all day!

Reid sure loves the school bus and points them out wherever we go.  This is also his new favorite way to pose!

Fun night with friends: Barreras, Foschs, Hawleys

Waiting for the pig races to begin

Campfire

Everyone loves these bikes!  Beckett was kicking his legs and so excited once we started to pedal.

Halloween 2016

I got to attend Hayden's Halloween parade. She chose to be Officer Judy Hopps and her costume was a hit!  There weren't very many of them this year and everyone thought it was so creative.

Watching Hayden play Halloween games in her classroom

Painting pumpkins this year, so much easier!

This little mummy woke up super happy on Halloween morning!  First Halloween!

We had a pumpkin shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's and then got all ready for Trick or Treating with the Housers.

Hayden with her Minnie Pumpkin

Reid not happy about his costume

Beckett as the cute lion.  It was hard to get any pictures because he wanted to play with all the pumpkins, ghosts, and most especially candy bowl

Reid is VERY anti-dress up!  He has not been excited to dress up for Halloween so we went with the one costume I thought we had a fair chance of getting him into: a shark!  He's been obsessed with them for most of the year and he TOLERATED it on Halloween.  Half way through trick or treating he took it off and we made him sit in the wagon until he was ready to wear it and get more candy.  It was fun watching him say "Trick or Treat" and get so excited this year.

Mia and Caleb joining in on the fun!

Beckett at 11 Months

Am I almost done with these updates?  They come so quick!  Beckett turned 11 months on October 24th.  He is starting to cruise around more and getting more confident standing on his own.  He likes to push around his walkers and grocery cart.  He is such a screamer these days and we are doing our best to deal with it.  My cuddly guy is pretty much gone these days, he wants to be on the move.  Beckett still takes two naps a day, loves reading books before nap time, loves playing at night with his brother and sister, loves destroying Reid's carefully build train tracks,  goes crazy when he hears the bath water start running and is all around one happy little guy.

Getting way harder to take these pics, he just wants to stand and jump!

Beckett at 10 Months

1)  This kid has turned into a MAJOR head-butter.  He will head-butt anything these days, his favorite spots are the fireplace, the stairs, our legs, and the floor.  Paul noticed that he does it more when he is tired.  It's so sad though because he head-butts the stairs, then cries and then does it again!  2)  He got a lot of teeth the past month and now has 4 on top and 2 on the bottom.  There were a few rough teething days in there, but he is such a good baby and is pretty happy most of the time.
3) He also started climbing the stairs on September 3rd.  We are still practicing on going down the right way so the gates are still up.
4) Beckett is starting to develop preferences for toys and food.  When he doesn't get what he wants he clenches his fists and lets out a pretty good blood curdling scream!
5) He is also really good at waiting for Reid to drop a toy he wants and then getting it as fast as he can and trying to hide from Reid.  When Reid discovers he has it he always says, "Don't eat it Beckett!"
6)  Beckett continues to be our best stroller baby.  He loves being outside and will sit in his stroller for entire outings.  We have gone to Vala's Pumpkin patch a few times and he is so good just to hang out while the 2 bigger kids play.
7) One of the most endearing things Beckett does right now is close his eyes when he laughs.  It is the cutest thing ever.  He starts to giggle and then squints his eyes and shakes his head.
8)  He also likes to blow raspberries
9)  He is really enjoying bath time these days and can splash with the best of them.  He doesn't mind laying down on his back and kicks even harder.  He also likes to put his whole face in the water as I'm filling up the tub, crazy kid!
