The Oldham's Come To Visit

Michelle and Owen flew out on March 10th to visit us in Omaha.  The weather went from zero degrees one week to the 70s!  The weather seriously could not have been more perfect while they were here.  The first full day we took them downtown to the Omaha concrete slides and had a great time!  The first few times we went without wax paper and never even made it to the end of the slide, so we decided to try it and had no idea how much faster we would actually go.  I was filming Michelle, Owen and Hayden going down and Reid was standing at the end of the slide.  They went so much faster and farther than expected that they knocked Reid right over!  Hayden was so upset at me for not moving him as she was afraid they might hit him.  Even with this disaster we had a great time and got a great workout hiking up those stairs.  

After an hour or so on the slides we headed to Old Market and walked along the streets, ate a packed lunch and gave the kids way too much sugar!

The next day we took them to our amazing Omaha, Zoo.  Each guest we have taken has been very impressed by the zoo!

Friday morning we let the kids play at the open gym at Metro Stars Gymnastics and then headed over to Chik-fil-a for lunch.

Saturday Paul was kind enough to watch the kids while Michelle and I did some shopping.  Always nice to go shopping with my sister and no kids.

Sunday was our regular church day and then we took them to Lake Zorinsky for a walk and to let the kids play at the playground.  The walk didn't go so well!  None of the kids were having it!

Monday we headed out to the Trail Center and saw the temple and want on a tour.  The kids got to dress up like pioneers and pull a wagon which was fun.  Anytime Hayden gets to play a character, you know she's going to be excited!

We had such a good visit and it went way to fast as always.  Hayden and Owen had such a fun time having a sleep over each night, jumping on the trampoline, and just playing together.  Owen was so cute with Reid, I know he's going to make one awesome big brother in July!
